Bee Farming 

Another economic opportunity provided by mangrove forests is Bee Farming. Apiculture is a centuries old tradition in Zanzibar, however, mangrove cultivation is a relatively new activity. Mangroves provide a specific opportunity for protecting bee hives from potential predators while allowing them to pollinate mangrove forests.
