About the Camp:
We invite passionate and dedicated international volunteers to join us in the beautiful coastal region of Bweleo, Zanzibar. Our work camp focuses on sustainable development, community engagement, and environmental preservation. Volunteers will work alongside local communities in several impactful initiatives:
Volunteer Activities:
Volunteers will assist in teaching English to community members involved in seaweed farming, youth engaged in climate action programs, and school students. By empowering them with language skills, volunteers will open up new opportunities for education, employment, and global connections.
Volunteers will design and develop effective teaching materials aimed at enhancing language learning, motivating students, and engaging youth. These materials will help foster an environment of learning and growth, making language education more accessible and impactful
Capture the essence of the work camp through photography, videography, and storytelling. Manage social media accounts and create content to share the impact of our initiatives with a global audience.
Volunteer will also has opportunity to engage in:
Seaweed farming is a growing industry in Zanzibar that provides income and environmental benefits. Volunteers will work with local communities to plant and cultivate seaweed, contributing to the sustainable development of this industry.
Volunteers will gain hands-on experience in creating value-added seaweed products. This includes processing seaweed into snacks, cosmetics, or fertilizers. The goal is to help communities diversify their income streams while promoting sustainable practices.
