On World Oceans Day, people around our blue planet celebrate and honor the ocean, which connects us all, gathering together: family, friends, community, and the planet to start creating a better future. Working together, we can and will protect our shared ocean. Join this growing global celebration on 8 June!

Dead Sea birds and whales and some fishes wash ashore with plastic in their bellies. Discarded fishing gear, plastic bags and other items accumulate in large patches throughout the ocean.

The amount of plastic that’s been dumped into the ocean has been increasing and most of ocean creators and trees has been vanished such as mangrove and crabs in most nearby island, and the problem will probably only get worse.

In ensuring this is rectified Zanzibar Volunteer for Environmental Conservation (ZAVECO) in collaboration with villager and other Non-profit Organization has participated fully in ensuring we protect our ocean
